Phuong Hart - Broker | Sean Z Becker Real Estate

Phuong Hart

What kind of a name is “Phuong”?

I get asked this question all the time. “Phuong” is a Vietnamese name meaning phoenix. I was born in Vietnam and came to the United States when I was only four years old. I am so proud to keep and use my given name. Don’t worry if you mispronounce it the first (or fifth) time…you certainly wouldn’t be the only one to do so.

What do you do in your free time?

For me “free” time means “family and friends” time. I love to spend time with our friends and family getting together for dinner, excursions to the coast or Hood River or just gathering for a picnic in our neighborhood park.

How can you live in a high rise with a family?

Very well actually! My husband and I moved to the South Waterfront neighborhood in its early stages with the plan of possibly moving into a more traditional suburban neighborhood once we started a family. Ten years and two kids later, we are still here and loving every moment of it! The neighborhood is perfect for raising a family. We have a beautiful park and greenway to play in, restaurants, schools and shops are within walking distance and no yard means that our weekends are free for playing… not yardwork.

About Phuong

My name is Phuong Hart and I am a broker at Sean Z Becker Real Estate. I am thrilled to be a part of such a wonderful team.

I grew up in Portland and graduated from Lake Oswego High School. From there I attended college in California, but couldn’t wait to get back to the pacific northwest once I graduated. Christmas just doesn’t feel the same when it’s 72 degrees and sunny.

I started my real estate career in 1996 and spent twelve years helping clients with their real estate needs and truly cherish the relationships formed and the memories made. In 2008 I put my real estate career on hold and transitioned to senior housing while the market was going through a difficult time (to say the least) and my husband and I decided to start a family.

Today, I live and work (back in real estate) in the beautiful South Waterfront neighborhood with my husband and two daughters. We love living in a high rise condominium and have watched this thriving neighborhood grow for the past ten years. Our daughters enjoy meeting their friends in our neighborhood park, taking the streetcar downtown to eat and play and especially get excited about watching the city fireworks from their bedroom window. We love to show off our neighborhood and city to family and friends who come for a visit.

I feel so fortunate to be back in real estate doing something that I truly love in this beautiful city that has so much to offer.

Client Testimonials

When we decided to purchase our home, we were suddenly hit with the reality that this could be a long and difficult process. Upon meeting Phuong, we were greeted with a cheerful and positive personality, and our fears were immediately put to rest. Phuong was so quick to communicate with us when a new home came on the market, and her flexible schedule was truly appreciated. Phuong’s knowledge of the Portland real estate market allowed us to submit a competitive offer making the entire process go more smoothly than we could have possibly imagined. There is no way that we could have found our perfect little bungalow without Phuong’s guidance and support!

I recently bought my very first home through Phuong Hart. As a first time home buyer I was pretty apprehensive about the whole endeavor but Phoung was super helpful by showing me multiple listings and talking through various particulars of any home I was interested in buying. Most impressive to me was her selection of a home I wasn’t very interested in based on its online listing but went to view at her suggestion and loved it in person and….now it’s my first home!
